Along with other partners from ASEAN Legal Alliance (ALA), HML’s partners- Ms. Mao Samvutheary and Ms. Kang Leap together with a senior legal advisor have participated in a 2-day executive course on international commercial arbitration on 14-15 July 2016. The course contains of three components: Lectures, study visits and Practicum. Maxwell Chambers have been grateful and given a very warm welcome to our delegates, paidsite-visit and attended the moot hearing in a presence of their well-known arbitrator. The course has been given by an accredited and high-profile arbitrator, and supervised by Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), which is an international center of excellence for the practice and profession of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). It is based in UK with growing membership of 15,000 to bebased across 133 countries and supported by an international network of 39 branches, as recently updated in the official website.
Upon a successful completion of all requirements, our partner- Ms. Mao Samvutheary and Ms. Kang Leap as well as senior legal advisor have been entitled to apply for an “ Associate” of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) London and can carry the post-nominal “ ACIArb” after their respective name.
